Materials Compliance · Version 1.0 · Effective October 2026

01

Our Approach

Customers building aircraft, robots and defence systems need to know what is in the parts they buy. We manage the substances in our products, answer material and compliance questionnaires, and require the same of our suppliers through our General Terms and Conditions of Procurement and Supplier Code of Conduct.

02

RoHS and REACH

Restricted substances (RoHS). We source electronic components specified by their manufacturers as compliant with the EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. Product-specific RoHS declarations are available on request for the products we have assessed.

REACH. On request, we tell you whether a product contains any Substance of Very High Concern on the EU REACH Candidate List above 0.1% by weight, based on the information we hold and obtain from our suppliers.

03

Responsible Minerals and Origin

Responsible minerals. We expect our suppliers to source tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, cobalt, mica and the rare-earth materials in our magnets responsibly, in line with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, and we respond to reasonable responsible-minerals due-diligence requests, including in the Responsible Minerals Initiative reporting templates where we hold the supplier data to complete them.

Country of origin. We provide country-of-origin information for our products, and for key materials such as permanent magnets where we hold it, on request.
