† Efficiency is grams of thrust per watt at about 50% throttle. Max thrust is the highest figure in our published bench data, measured with the propeller and battery shown. Results vary with propeller, ESC, temperature and altitude; every product page carries the full test tables. Mission tags are a starting guide; our engineers will confirm the fit for your aircraft.

Between two motors?

We can wind most frames to a different KV, or offer another voltage on the same frame. Tell us the aircraft, weight and battery and an engineer replies with a match, not a brochure.

FAQ

Choosing a motor

The questions our engineers answer most often.

How do I choose a drone motor?

Start from thrust. Multiply your aircraft's all-up weight by a thrust-to-weight ratio (2:1 for general multirotors, 1.6–1.8:1 for heavy-lift, 3:1 or more for agile aircraft) and divide by the number of motors. Pick a motor whose maximum thrust meets that figure on the battery voltage and propeller size you plan to use, then compare weight and efficiency within that shortlist.

What does efficiency in g/W mean?

Grams of thrust produced per watt of electrical input. Higher is better and directly extends flight time. Our listed figure is measured on the bench at about 50% throttle, close to where a well-sized multirotor hovers.

What is the difference between Superlight and Professional motors?

Superlight (SL) motors are optimised for the lowest weight and the highest efficiency per gram. Professional (PRO) motors are built for continuous duty in demanding commercial and government programmes, and selected PRO models are qualified to MIL-STD-810G.

Can you build a different KV or voltage on the same motor?

Yes. We can wind most frames to a different KV and offer multiple voltage options on the same frame. A new motor goes from metal to prototype in about 15 days.

How do I choose the right KV?

Match KV to propeller size and battery voltage. Larger propellers need lower KV so the motor turns them efficiently without overheating; higher-voltage batteries also call for lower KV for the same propeller speed. Use the KV range and propeller filters together, then compare the test data on each product page.

Where do I find the full test data?

Every product page carries the full bench tables for each propeller and battery we tested: thrust, current, power, efficiency and RPM across the throttle range. Motors marked Request datasheet are available; ask and an engineer will send the data.
